Brechin Health Centre - attending the nurse for routine blood test. I was satisfied with the skills and professionalism of the nurse, Charlene, who was also very helpful in answering some of my questions. I did make a plea for a bike parking (and securing) facility, as on many previous occasions I’ve had to lock my bike to a tree near the entrance, possibly causing a hazard for others entering and leaving. There is currently no provision for this at our Health Centre, when we - as a society - are trying to promote active lifestyles, as part of preventive measures to reduce lifestyle health issues. Something really needs to be done. Also, the car park is wholly inadequate for this century- most people seem to drive to the Health Centre (see previous point) and there are not enough spaces, especially since the local health board demolished and sold the infirmary next door. Brechin are constantly having to put up with less-than-adequate facilities, especially in comparison to neighbouring (similar) towns, all of whom have modern, state-of-the-art health facilities.
