(as the patient),

Sunday evening I telephoned 111, was given OOH appt. & admitted to A&E, sent for X-rays, admitted to AAU, then transferred to Ward  B31.  I was discharged Thursday lunchtime,

I was cared for by 41 named members of staff & this total does not include porters, catering, housekeeping, rehab staff who all helped during my time as an inpatient.

The only information I needed was my name & date of birth, all staff did everything else for me … they could not have been kinder, helpful or more caring.

All other staff who I came into contact with.

Dear aprilsxk53,

Thank you for sharing your story on Care Opinion. I was sorry to learn of your hospital admission and I hope you are recovering well.

I understand from your story that both NHS 24 and NHS Forth Valley were involved in your journey of care and I note colleagues from NHS Forth Valley have responded to your story. I respond in relation to NHS 24's element of your care.

I was delighted to read you found all staff involved in your patient journey were amazing, and that NHS 24 played a part in your positive patient journey by arranging your onward care to your local Out of Hours service. If you would be happy to provide me with additional details regarding your call to NHS 24, this would allow me to identify Joseph, Carrie, and the clinician involved in your call, and share your kind words with them. We always ensure our staff see positive feedback to reinforce to them how valued their care is when people call our service.

You can contact me or the Patient Experience Team by email at patient.experience@nhs24.scot.nhs.uk

I wish you all the best and thank you again for sharing your story.

Kind regards,

Andrew
