"I was cared for in an impeccable manner"

I was recently admitted to the Wishaw General Day Unit.

I cannot praise the staff in this unit enough

Such a professional and friendly team

I was in for a Hystology investigation

I arrived at the unit at 7,30 am and was collected by a lovely nurse who immediately put me at ease and showed me to my bed for the day

Very quickly another nurse came to explain the procedure for the day took all my details and gave me a red band to signify my allergies

I was given a cup of water to sip, gratefully received as I had been fasting due to the early appointment

I was visited by the consultant, Dr Allum, who explained the details of the investigation and pointed out the risks

Then shortly after by  the anaesthetist who took more details  and explained what would happen prior to the operation

Throughout the day I was cared for in an impeccable manner  by everyone who looked after me. Unfortunately I do not have their names except for Cheryl who cared for me on my return to the unit after having been in the recovery unit. Cheryl kept a watchful eye on  me until she was satisfied that I was fit enough to go home.
