My mum was admitted over 4 weeks ago to Altnagelvin a&e.
The staff from the nursing assistants to the nurses F1 and F2. They were caring, compassionate and went above and beyond the call of duty.
The staff are under valued and work tirelessly for the trust. The senior management team need to come down and work the floor to see the pressures.
There was a few stand out staff. Doctors in A&E Sam, Melinda and Daryl. They showed true professionalism and caring nature. My mum is registered blind.
The nurses in majors 2 were outstanding.
Ward 24 Claire nurse, Adrian and Peter nursing assistant. All the nurse in section D showed true professionalism and caring nature.
Ward 22 Lorraine, Jamie Leigh student nurse. Melinda F1 and her F2 colleague. Mary and Michelle support services.
The staff are a true credit to their managers. There was a lot of other stars to many to mention.
I am a strong believer in lead from the front and our politicians, senior management teams have a lot to answer for. As I believe the trust is under funded and management heavy.
Recognise your teams and share and celebrate how amazing they make the trust.
Thanks to everyone we meet and came across, you are the real NHS. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
"They were compassionate and went above and beyond"
