Like many others I was admitted to hospital with Covid. I developed long covid and struggled for a longtime struggling to cope with everyday life with all the symptoms that is known now about long covid.
I worked all my life and managed many businesses around the country but realised very quickly things had changed . Luckily the Covid team reached out with a questionnaire and I filled it in and sent it away . I’ve never been one to see doctors so me doing this was massive . They contacted and the unit I attended was Coatbridge attached to Hairmyres.
I can’t praise the team and especially the doctor who took my case on enough at the time I knew I wasn’t well but didn’t realise how u well I was , she has quite literally pulled me back from a rapid downward spiral . The time, the programmes and meetings have been quite honestly life changing.
People mostly complain but never acknowledge often when things a good . I really hope this programme is looked at and support is continued and moreover the doctor and team are recognised for outstanding patient care .
