My son had a planned surgery for his tonsils and adenoids to be removed. The whole experience was so positive. Every single member of staff that we came across was pleasant, kind and reassuring.
From the HCSW who showed us where to sit, nurses, theatre staff and also Helen the pre op nurse who really helped to ease my son’s anxiety.
The whole environment was calm and every staff member spoke to my son and not through us as his parents - which I think helped put him at ease and made him feel he was involved in choices. The ‘sleepy’ drs made me feel at ease knowing he was in great hands reduced my anxiety and worry.
From pre-op to post op we can’t fault any of the care my son had and truly are so grateful for the care we as a family experienced.
