"Stay in Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert"

I had my first operation in F.V.R.H. in January, 2024, then a second operation in July, 2024.

Both operations were major and the outcomes on each occasion highly successful, due to the excellent care which I received from the consultant, Mr. Emin and his surgical team, plus the outstanding care I received in the Surgical Day Care Ward.

On both occasions my stay lasted several days and on each occasion I could not fault the way I was treated by staff. Nothing was too much trouble from this highly capable, professional, friendly and caring team. They made sure that my pain levels were addressed quickly and I was constantly monitored and my progress faithfully recorded and treatment adjusted as required.

The ward is very well run and the staff all work exceptionally hard. This is a very happy ward where there is genuine caring, laughter and friendliness between staff and patients, along with true professionalism and very real dedication from staff to their patients. I genuinely believe this also aids the healing process. The respect shown between staff to one another and to their patients is obvious and a joy to see in action.

Mr. Emin visited me daily and examined my wound, plus showed concern as to how I was feeling, listened carefully and gave me his professional opinion as to my progress. He is a genuinely warm, caring, highly experienced and professional surgeon and I have every faith in his capabilities to help me make a full recovery. He is a great asset to Forth Valley Royal Hospital and to all who require his exceptional skills and help. He has earned my lifelong respect and trust. I cannot rate him highly enough.

After my first stay in January, any anxiety at returning was greatly eased and I was reassured that I was going back into such good hands later in the year.

They all remembered me and treated me like an old friend, which was truly lovely. It was like returning to a caring family and receiving a warm welcome.
