"The staff were amazing"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as a service user),

I had a small cyst on my bottom eye lid which was causing some discomfort. My GP hadn't given me advice on the possible treatment by myself to resolve the situation, so I was subsequently referred to Nurse-led Minor Ops Service at Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline.

Today was the day, terrified of needles all my life, the staff were amazing. I was reassured time and time again and taken through each stage with their experience and confidence shining through making me at total ease but still terrified.

So glad it is over but a big high five to the two nurses.

You were brilliant 👍👍Thank you both 👏👏

Dear Columbayg33

Thanks for this lovely feedback, I will share this with the staff who will be delighted to hear. I am glad you had such a positive experience and although frightened of needles the staff managed to reassure you and make you feel at ease.

We wish you well with your recovery

Thanks

Kind Regards
