"Appointment for colonoscopy"

About: Borders General Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I attended endoscopy department at Borders General Hospital in Melrose. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed and treated with very friendly, respectful and professional staff. My procedure was fully explained to me and I was given reassurance and plenty of time to ask questions. I had a colonoscopy and at all times throughout was shown dignity. The nurses looking after me were called Jill & Emma. They both deserve a big thank you. The Consultant  took time to explain everything in advance and during the procedure. They all made the painful experience much easier to tolerate. Very kind.

Dear Stormy

Thank you very much for sharing your story and for your kind words about our staff. Coming for a procedure can be a daunting time. We try our best to support patients and ensure we provide as much information and reassurance from admission to discharge.

I will forward your positive feedback and thanks to the team, which will be greatly received.

Many thanks

Louise
