"They have literally saved my mind and my life"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Dermatology (Skin Conditions)

(as a service user),

I have chronic idiopathic urticaria for longer than I can remember and have been to every hospital and tried every treatment, I had got to the point I literally had given up on life and wanted it just to end, I had been in and out of A&E almost ever week after having to use my epi pen constantly as I was going into anaphylaxis almost daily.

I was then sent to Dr Torley and Gillian and thanks to them putting me on new medication my life totally changed. My skin calmed down and working with Gillian and with her encouragement I have been pushing my injections to now almost every two months and I'm not scared to because I know the team are there if I need them. They have literally saved my mind and my life, without them I would not be here to tell my story.

Every single staff member in there are amazing from the staff on the desk to the Dr's they are friendly and very encouraging when you tell them things it honestly is a pleasure going here 😀

I can't thank Dr Torley and Gillian enough, they're life savers in my case.

Dear AnnMarie563

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your Dermatology experience. I am pleased that you have found a treatment that works for you and that you are managing to extend the time between injections. I was very pleased that you find Dr Torley and Gillian have managed to help you and that you feel that they have explained everything to you.

I hope that you continue to improve

I will pass on your kind comments to the staff involved

regards

Charlotte Ashton
