"An amazing team"

About: Waterside Hospital / Ward 4

(as a relative),

My mum was in waterside hospital ward 4 for nearly 2 and half weeks. The care is second to none. The nurses, doctors and nursing assistant are amazing.

There was a few superstars along the way.

The 2 deputy sisters were kind, caring, compassionate and always there for advice and support.

The nurses Siobhan, Emma, the lovely nurse that is getting married sorry forgot her name. The agency nurses on night shift, too many to name. All had such a compassionate way, caring, show true dedication and passion for the profession.

Laureen the occupational therapist, was amazing with mum, listened, understood her needs. An unsung hero. The physiotherapists and social worker that looked after mum.

Not forgetting the nursing assistants especially Colleen, Cyril, Thomas - these 3 are truly amazing people, kind, compassionate, always had a smile even when under pressure.

The student nurses were all amazing, but 1 stand out for us was Elizabeth, she took time, always had a smile. Came in early for a chat, showed dedication, passion for the role, caring nature. She will be an amazing nurse. Truly one to watch grow in her role.

Thanks to the SHO for looking after mum and listening, when she had issues with her catheter. Took time to help and showed professionalism. Amazing.

Lastly Thomas and his colleague Leanne that did the activities, always fun, enlightened the mood. Truly amazing.

There is so many to thank. I feel the team are true NHS, undervalued, underpaid and not recognised by senior management for the roles they do.

Sharon you have an amazing team in ward 4, be proud and shout it from the roof tops. Thanks from the bottom of my heart and mum's for all you did.

We are eternally grateful and can't thank you enough. Share and celebrate success. You are the real stars and NHS.

Thanks a million.
