"A marvellous team"

About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency Borders General Hospital / Cardiology

(as a service user),

I arrived by ambulance straight from the doctors.  The staff in A&E were marvellous. Dr Taylor put me at ease as I was in quite a state.

A few hours later I was transferred to ward 5 where my recovery started.  On arrival feeling drained and emotional  I was put in a room on my own.  The first evening I had to press my bell at least 10 times, the nurse on call - Dave -  never once made me feel a nuisance, thank you Dave.

The highlight next was meeting a wonderful nurse, Ann.  What a caring lady a credit to that ward.  I met student nurse Erin, she will make a fab nurse.  Stuart the auxiliaries jokes were awful but what a guy made us all laugh.  There are many more fab people on that ward.

My final big thank you is to Laura who led this marvellous team. You are wonderful, Laura.  The doctors were fab too, including the lovely smiley cardiac consultant and Paul.  Thank you for all the care I received.  Audrey
