About: The Grange Surgery

After being unwell for three weeks and unable to work I needed to see a doctor. I phoned at 8.00am and was told a doctor would call back. Five hours later I had still not had a call. I drove to the surgery and a nurse spoke to me. She was most patronising to me. Eventually at 2.30 I had a call from a doctor.

I will not return here. The surgery is a ghost town. No patients in the waiting room and no doctors. I will just go to the hospital instead. What is frightening is what if I had had earache or worse, sepsis.

Waiting for five hours for a call back is unexceptible.

Thank you for your feedback however I understand the duty doctor did speak with you that day and gave you some reassuring advice. I am sorry you felt the nurse was patronising, I will investigate this further. I am confused as to how we have let you down in any way. There was a clinical meeting taking place with all doctors, nurses and management team when you came in to the surgery over a lunchtime. We always have a clinician available for emergencies. If you wish to discuss your treatment further please do not hesitate to contact me.
