"Really let down."

About: Leicester General Hospital

Today the 16th of July 2024, I had an appointment at the General Hospital for biopsies to be taken from my prostrate.

Appointment time was 7.15 am . So up at 5.30 to get their on time I was seen by the nurses ho were great so thank you nurses.

Having bin told nothing to eat or drink from 5 pm the night before. Not a problem because I was having a General anaesthetic and under stood that. But to sit in a chair from 7.30 until after 1 o’clock to be told sorry we will have to let you go and will be put on another list with no real explanation

The Day cost us £52 in taxi fares, My wife who has Parkinson’s came with me but was told she couldn’t stay and had to go home. Had we had a letter about the days visit rather than just a text we may have known that. I’ve not told my family so they don’t worry about me until I know that is it if anything.

There must have been about 20 people turn up for similar to me and people coming in the afternoon. It’s no wonder I was kept waiting and sent home.
