"Care Opinion"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as a service user),

I have noticed recently and before too, that sometimes care opinion feeds come up on the reel, but we are unable to access them. They also may have had responses but we, the patients, cannot get through to viewing them. It is quite frustrating that knowing there are updated posts to be read it is inaccessible. Could this be sorted out promptly please?

Thank you for raising your concerns. The 'News Feed' within the Made Purple platform uses 'RSS web feeds' to automatically display any new stories published by Care Opinion about Rampton Hospital. At the same time, I also receive an e-mail from Care Opinion informing me that a story has been published, I quickly read the story and then request that Made Purple make it available to you - typically I do this as soon as I receive the e-mail. However, I am aware that four stories in the past seven days were delayed, this was my fault for which I apologise for. We will now review our processes to see how we can reduce the likelihood of excessive delays from happening again. I will also raise this at the Made Purple involvement group to see what a reasonable length of time is between a story being published by Care Opinion and it being available to patients (is 24 hours reasonable for example).

Care Opinion is the third most visited website available on the Made Purple platform which shows the value of the service to you and your peers. I also know that Care Opinion is discussed at each Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust Board meeting. Weekly updates to staff from our senior leadership team often include references to stories on Care Opinion.

I am pleased that you can use the service to highlight times where we can improve our services.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. I appreciate your honesty about the previous posts. I agree there should be a time scale to receiving the RSS web feeds to publishing the posts online, this makes the care opinion site more user friendly for everyone involved. Mucho thanks
