Top marks to the staff at the GRI MRI Suite. I had a scan recently and really wasn't looking forward to it but from the moment I got into the hospital, nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
A kind porter helped me by opening doors and seeing me to the right place (I was on my mobility scooter and a bit lost) and then the admin staff on the desk were friendly and welcoming once I was in the suite.
The very top marks go to James, the radiographer, for calming my nerves by talking me through the scan before we even got to the scanner room. Once there, he further helped me by changing it so I could go in feet first which makes a massive difference to me and helped keep me calm.
He even gave me a glass of water between scans when I developed an annoying tickly cough. He checked I was okay to proceed and before I knew it, the scan was over. Best scan I've ever had. I felt heard and really well looked after so please pass on my thanks to all involved.
