"Care and compassion shown during a difficult time"

I wanted to express my sincere thanks for the exemplary care and attention my Mother recently received from NHS Borders Rapid Cancer Diagnosis Team Service.

From the initial phone call from the nurse Grant to the actual appointment with Dr Kerr the process which was understandably a difficult one for mum was made so much better by the care she was shown, emotionally and physically. 

The appointment schedule including scan went very smoothly and due to mums heightened anxiety we were contacted the same day with the result which in turn relayed any fears or worries we all had. 

We were so thankful for the professionalism and the care and compassion shown during a particularly difficult time.

We are very lucky to have a service like this within NHS Borders and we hope its able to keep providing such an efficient service to patients and families.
