"The group facilitators were both lovely and supportive"

About: Community Forensic Services / Nottinghamshire MBT Service

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I found the Notts MBT service MBTi group really helpful putting my problems into words and make sense of how and why I act/react.

When I was asked about changes to the group, maybe setting ground rules at the beginning would be helpful. The group facilitators were both lovely and supportive, they were patient with all our antics.

Overall, it has been lovely to get to know each other and form trust and bonds.

Dear NCMBTi2,

Thank you for taking the time to share experience of the MBTi group. It sounds like it was a really helpful space for you in deepening your understanding of yourself.

In terms of the changes you have identified relating to group rules at the start the of group, I am aware group rules are set out at the start, prior to the group, but it seems that this might not be the best place to explore expectations and ground rules for the group. The service is very close to sharing their service evaluation and so it may be that this is identified in the recommendations, if not, we will ensure this is considered within any changes we make.

I hope, if therapy is planned for you, that this introduction group stands you in good stead for the next step.

Very best wishes, Louisa
