"Not turning up for an appointment and no communication"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Respiratory medicine Pilgrim Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as a service user),

I have had a nodule in my lung and was due an appointment over the phone with Lincolnshire respiratory. I waited by the phone and never got a call. I tried ringing through but no answer. When I did get through I had confirmed the appointment had been there but not reason given for cancellation and the staff member would chase. That was two weeks ago.

I had to chase to get my x-ray result earlier in the year and only by contacting PALS did I get a response three weeks after x-ray. This was never confirmed by letter.

This has caused me heightened anxiety after a pulmonary vein thrombosis, the loss of my father, and the worry of something on/in my king potentially being sinister.
