"Some issues with the waiting area"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Outpatients

(as the patient),

Attended Antrim recently and found the experience very compassionate and professional from the nurses in uniform, meet and greet etc.

But there was some issues with the  waiting area I was asked to wait in - it felt like a storage area. When I was waiting I found the area very busy with various staff walking in and out through rooms. One room had its door ajar and I over heard some loud cackle - and staff laughing at something very interesting! This I felt was a bit unprofessional in a public area. I had a wee look and noted a few staff in non uniform, in an extremely untidy office.

Good afternoon @Grehc67,

Thank you for taking time to provide your story from your experience. It is lovely to hear the positive side of your experience as compassionate and professional from the nurses in uniform, meet and greet etc.

I agree we have a very busy outpatients department with multiple waiting areas.

I would like to investigate this further with regards to the department you attended, date and time. I manage a number of different areas within Antrim Outpatients. Can I ask you to contact me via telephone so I can do so I can investigate this further.

Many thanks

Carol
