"It has made a huge difference in my life"

About: Bromley Healthcare / Talk together Bromley (IAPT)

(as a service user),

I had 12 sessions of CBT with my therapist, Nicole. She taught me how to manage my sound sensitivity and look at it in a different light. She made me realize there was nothing wrong with me, these reactions are not just unique to me and that I shouldn't feel bad for having negative thoughts around certain sounds. I gained a set of skills and coping mechanisms that now help me through situations I never thought I could handle. I was always given the option stop or continue with different tasks and the sessions were completely in my own terms. It has made a huge difference in my life in ways I cannot even explain.  I'm so so grateful.

Dear Fairyqueen,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience of the Talking Therapies Bromley (IAPT) Service.

I am pleased to hear that Nicole has helped you manage your sound sensitivities. I have shared your comments with Nicole, who I am sure will appreciate your kind words.

Best wishes, Sharon
