Sent on behalf of a service user in Recovery from Rosewood Involvement centre: I would like to take this opportunity to thank Luke Donnelly for the fantastic job he did with me last year. I was directed to the E. I. P. (Early Intervention in Psychosis) team at Bassetlaw Hospital and assigned a Peer Support Worker who turned out to be Luke.
Luke had a great understanding of my situation and he took the initiative to signpost me (when I was ready) to the Rosewood Involvement Centre. We worked on some therapeutic techniques such as skin tapping, doe-ing and massage, relaxation techniques sat in a chair and even played golf.
As a result of this I have come to realise the importance of peer support and the impact it can make on peoples’ lives.
"A big thanks for Peer support workers"
