About: University Hospital Wishaw / Chronic Pain Management Clinic

(as a service user),

During an extended hospital admission I was seen by the acute pain service on numerous occasions.

The care received was exceptional with compassion and consideration given at all times to the ever changing presentation I was experiencing.

Sharon and Linsey actively listened to my needs and amended their recommendations as appropriate, at times advocating for changes in my treatment to best support my recovery.

Pain can be so debilitating and it's been with the support of the pain service that I was able to have my pain managed to a level where I could actively participate in my rehabilitation. 

My engagement with the pain service has been nothing but positive, and I'm sure many other patients will benefit from this service.

I am so pleased to hear that Sharon and Linsey have been such excellent support and advocates for you during your hospital admission. I am glad that the experience was positive and it would have been very encouraging for your rehabilitation knowing that you were so well supported.
