"The lack of care"

Several occasions I have self harmed in plain sight and the staff haven't even noticed, I wasn't even hiding what I was doing. Eventually after many hours they eventually noticed, I have self harmed and the HCA asked to see what I used, I said I wouldn't give it them but I shown them and then they walked off, no further action with me, still in possession of the sharp item using to self harm.

Health care assistants asking if I'm ok and when I say no I'm not they carry on walking off, yet with mental health I thought they were supposed to stop and talk it out with me.

My physical observations were supposed to be 2 times a day and I've barely have any at all during my stay here on Fir ward. Most days no obs and then the odd day I'll get one physical obs. It seems like the HCAs see it as just a job when in fact its actually people's lives they are looking after.

They do the checks so quick, They can't even tell if you breathing or not, with how quick my light comes on and back off it's too quick to look for signs of breathing, the door opening and closing is far too quick for the naked eye to see anything other than the person is present - dead or alive.

I have stickers on my door from speech and language to help me say I'm not ok. I had the sticker for I'm thinking of self harming, I had 3 1-hour checks in that time and not one of the HCAs bothered to ask if I was ok that they had seen my wanting to self harm sticker until I'd already done it hours later the it's not my job attitude.
