"100% Pure orange juice"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as the patient),

They used to sell 100% pure orange juice here at Rampton, now they only sell concentrate orange juice for around the same price and it tastes horrible.

I think this is unacceptable and also did the CQC when I told them a few months ago now and they said they would get it sorted, that has not happened.

100% pure orange juice is really good for your health and is almost twice as cheap than pop, and is much more healthier than pop!.

What do you think should be done?

Thank you for raising your concern over the type of orange juice sold in the patient shop. Sorry to hear you do not like the taste of the current orange juice product lines.

Whilst the patient shop does sell a wide range of drinks choices which are popular. You are correct it has been some time since the patient shop has stocked the chilled 100% pure orange juice, as a result of this product line being removed by supplier.

Facilities Services have listened to feedback at the patient food and shop group along with comments made from the recent patient retail survey and acknowledge some of the drinks choices and prices need a refresh.

Work is now underway working in collaboration with key services on the nutritional and dietary analysis of any new product lines. The retail team are also exploring new product ranges and suppliers to support more competitive pricing.

In the next few weeks, you will see in the patient shop a selection of new product lines available on the promotional display stand, for patients to consider. This will include drink options. Please share your feedback on these at the patient food and shop group.

These new promotional lines will support patients with more choice and assist the retail team in understanding the supply and demand whilst refreshing some of the product lines.
