"Outstanding heroes"

About: Victoria Hospital / Admissions Unit 2 (Emergency Surgical) Victoria Hospital / Urology

(as a relative),

My husband was recently admitted into AU2 and then transferred to ward 54 at the Victoria Hospital and I am only now getting a chance to come in and thank all the amazing nurses, health care support workers and the amazing nursing student who was looking after me for 3 days along with the nurse she was with.

Teigan who is a nursing student and Emma the nurse were so kind to myself and my husband, both a comical duo who made us laugh and I wanted to have a special shoutout to them as they looked after him through his entire stay till discharge.

They did everything to make sure he was well cared for. He had a lot of pain and required surgery and they did everything to make sure he was comfortable.

The entire ward was professional, kind and nothing was too much trouble. for any of the staff. They are all superstars and I wish they all get the recognition that they deserve.

Dear aquilajr45,

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback on Care Opinion.

It is lovely to hear from a relative's point of view, and we are pleased that you have posted such lovely feedback to show your appreciation for the team in Ward 54.

We are glad that we were able to make your husband comfortable during his stay with us and that we were able to keep his spirits up.

I will share this with the team and to the lovely student nurse who will be joining us as a newly qualified practitioner very soon.

Take care, and thank you.
