"This group has been a lifeline for me"

About: Fife Community Services / Breast Feeding Support Service

(as a parent/guardian),

I attend a breastfeeding support group every week at the Rothes Halls, Glenrothes. It is run by the NHS and I just wanted to highlight how much of a lifeline this group has been for me.

I have had so much support and become part of a growing community that enables me to share experiences of being a breastfeeding mum.

I have met loads of other mums and even meet with many of them outside of the group, something I wouldn't have had if it wasn't available.

Attending the group has given me something to look forward to every week and certainly helps with my mental health, during the major life altering experience of being a new mum.

Dear Sarahberr24,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback via CareOpinion and highlighting how helpful you have found the Breastfeeding Group at Glenrothes.

I understand that groups can be a valuable source of support, and help normalise some of the newborn challenges and worries that new parents have. I'm glad to hear this was the case for you and that you have felt able to be that support for others too.

Kind regards,
Louise
