"The team were incredible"

Whilst on holiday in Sidmouth I had the misfortune to suffer a full heart block. I was taken by ambulance on blue lights to Exeter hospital. I was received into resus with a full team waiting for me.

They got me stable, diagnosed the problem and got me ready for transfer to CCU. Obviously there was a lot more work involved in that than it sounds. The team were incredible. The care was second to none. Although I was pretty out of it half the time. They showed professionalism, care and compassion. Even took the time to ensure my wife was informed of what was happening.

On arrival in CCU, once again I was given top quality care. My condition was not remaining stable and I was soon on my way for surgery and had a pacemaker installed.

From here I was taken to the ward TAW 2. Once again the care was amazing. I can't find a thing to be negative about. Even the meal and drink service was amazing. I have stayed in hotels that could learn a thing or two from your people.

The biggest thing that stands out is -  no matter who I came into contact with among the staff, and I interacted with many -  nothing was ever too much trouble, they all seemed genuinely happy in their jobs, and wanted to be there.
