"Gym sessions"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as a service user),

I've noticed recently that when I go down to the gym for my session I only get 30 minutes. Is this the norm, or are we meant to get more that that?

I remember a while ago, especially before covid that we used to get 40/50 minutes per session. What's changed now?

Thank you for the post. The Health & Fitness Team gym sessions are scheduled for fifty minutes, however at times this can be affected by where the facilitating staff are located across the hospital at that time as the Health & Fitness team work across all care streams. We have also started sending out all the Therapy and Education Service programmes including Health & Fitness to all Ward Managers and Service managers to improve communication with ward staff to improve the collecting of patients from wards and to ensure patients are ready to be collected.

I apologise if any of your gym sessions have been shorter than what is advertised on your programme, and I will look into this further with the Health & Fitness Team.

Thank you again for the post.
