I was recently admitted for a total hysterectomy and removal of ovaries, fallopian tubes and cervix.
From the admission to the surgery unit everyone was so kind and helpful as I was absolutely terrified. From a horrible experience earlier in the year, when my mum passed away in FVRH, this made my fears even worse. My anaesthetist Mark was second to none, absolute star who reassured me and calmed me down, his manner was incredible, even making me laugh! Dr Sewnauth the consultant who had been dealing with me for years was doing my surgery and her professionalism, kindness and compassion were as always second to none, before and after.
I was admitted to Ward 6 after my op and the care, professionalism and friendliness from the nurses and nursing assistants was second to none. They couldnt do enough for me day or night, they are all amazing. I was made to feel so comfortable on ward 6 and the anxiety about being in FVRH simply vanished. The serco ladies serving food and endless cups of tea were so nice, always made time to chat which was very much appreciated. Ward 6 and all the staff in it are the most incredible people providing the best care I have ever come across in FVRH. I am just so grateful to them for everything, I cant speak highly enough of everyone involved in my care but would like to thank everyone with all my heart.
You are all so amazing and very much appreciated, what a team, from start to finish! I'm back at home now recovering, thanks to all you guys who made it happen but I will never be able to thank you all enough.
"What a team!"
