My mum was discharged from hospital just over 6 weeks ago with a re-enablement plan.
I have to say the ladies that deliver the service are under valued and under recognised.
The 2 carers in the morning Sandra and Leanne are out of this world. Passionate, caring, professional and nothing is too much trouble. They always went above and beyond the call of duty. These 2 ladies deserve more recognition.
Anne the banking staff, always had a smile on her face and was so kind and caring. A treasure and a star.
The tea time call was always a little different but after a little feedback, the carer took it on board and was good.
My mum is registered blind and is always reluctant of change and routine.
So thanks for everything you all do.
Aoife the Occupational therapist was so kind, patient and professional. A real credit to herself and her team. She took all in her stride and is a real NHS star.
The downside to this is you only have them for 6 weeks and then you move to long term care.
I have to say the transition and everything was seamless and easy. So let's hope the new teams are as good.
The only negative is, you don't have a named social worker and I feel they really need to address this.
Senior management and politicians need to recognise the people on the ground. They all need to work on the ground and see how difficult it is to work in health care.
I will be forever indebted to the teams across the NHS for everything they have done for my mum.
They are the real NHS and WesternTrust.
Shout about your amazing teams and sort out the NHS..
