About: Crosshouse Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I was back and forward to local hospital which started in August last year.  I wasn’t getting anywhere. I could not eat and was sick and had diarrhoea, meanwhile I lost 5 stone .  I was admitted to Crosshouse hospital in July and Dr Khine operated on me not too long after. He and his team were absolutely marvellous, Dr Khine had a lovely bedside manner and he and his team certainly saved my life as far as I am concerned and I am grateful for that.  

I am now at home recovering and able to eat my food again.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the care provided by the Surgical Team within University Hospital Crosshouse.

I am sorry to hear that you were unwell and needed to spend some time in hospital, but delighted to hear that you received such empathetic, professional and compassionate care from all of our staff. It is so good to know that you are now back at home and able to eat (and hopefully enjoy) your food again.

This is a lovely example of the patient centred care that we strive to deliver.

Our staff really appreciate it when patients provide feedback and it will be my pleasure to ensure your kind comments are shared with Dr Khine and his Team.
