"First rate, efficient, friendly care"

About: Vale of Leven General Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit Vale of Leven General Hospital / Xrays and Scans (Radiology)

(as the patient),

I fell while playing with the children I nanny for and landed on my hand. After a couple of days it was clear by the bruising and swelling it needed to be checked out.

I went to minor injuries at the Vale of Leven and the helpful receptionist told me the current wait time (which was significant) and was helpful suggesting a quieter time to return.

When I returned the next morning I only waited ten minutes to be seen by a nurse who sent me to X-ray (who were efficient and friendly). I had a broken metacarpal so was sent to get a plaster. Again no wait and a very experienced professional nurse who was lovely and sorted my plaster.

When I returned to see the consultant, the service was just as efficient, friendly.

I was again sent for X-ray (fast and efficient).

The I had the plaster removed and brace fitted.

All together I received first rate, efficient, friendly care and am very grateful. I still have my brace but won’t be long until I can take that off.
