"My diagnosis of cancer"

About: Causeway Hospital / Surgical 2

(as a service user),

I came in with stomach pains in a Monday and I was diagnosed with bile duct cancer, which is terminal, on the Tuesday.

My whole life was turned upside down. I’m only 47 and not ready for this at all. The hospital have been great they got me for all my scans very fast and had a biopsy in a week I will be going home now after 2 weeks where I will wait in the results and try process al this life changing information. The staff have been great and the macmillian team on site has just been fantastic they gave me so much hope.

So hopefully this is not the end of my story just the start of my fight x
