"I feel disappointed I don't have physio daily"

About: Rosedale Residential Home

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I moved Rosedale after being in hospital.  The vast majority of staff are excellent, very caring and very kind, they can't do enough for you.  Some staff have worked here 30 or 40 years, their experience is second to none.

The room is pleasant, the garden is beautifully maintained to a very high standard.  When I was told I was moving to a rehab unit I thought I would get physio everyday, I feel disappointed that I don't, this is not a reflection on the staff.

Thank you very much for taking the time to comment on your care and I will share your feedback with the staff. I have asked the manager to contact the physiotherapist on your behalf and I hope you make a full recovery,

Dear Jancj39

Thank you for your feedback. The Physiotherapy Service work as part of the Recovery Service to provide rehabilitation to patients. Rehabilitation is provided by a number of professions and support staff working together to achieve common goals with patients and their family and carers. An overall rehabilitation plan will be put in place and may be completed by different members of the team including care home staff.

We acknowledge that staffing levels can be a challenge especially in times of high demand and conflicting priorities however I hope that you are continuing to recover. Should you wish me to look into your specific case can you please contact me via email or telephone at the details below.

Regards

Catherine Ward
