"Great patient care"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Acute Short Stay Medicine Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine General Practices in Grampian

(as a relative),

My husband was taken into Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after seeing our GP at the end of August - it was our 33rd wedding anniversary.

We would like to say that everything was fabulous.

The GP response was great.  She gave us a letter to get down to A&E as it was a heart problem.

A&E were also great.  ECG then blood test before being taken through to see a doctor and be admitted.  To the A&E staff member who opened up my husbands packet of custard creams - that she noticed and took the time to help him - thank you.

Ward 103 were also great.  It just makes all the difference to patients and family when staff, whom we recognise are often overwhelmed and tired, take the time to be personal and kind.
