My dad was admitted to RVH Ward 7D for comfort care. It was a terrible time.
But I wanted to write this note about one doctor in particular. Her name was Katie. She is in the medical team and was covering Ward 7D on the night.
Katie was absolutely amazing. Her comforting way with words just completely soothed my entire family. She did everything she could to keep my dad comfortable, pain free and relaxed. I could tell the heartbreaking situation my dad was in, really affected her too.
Katie ensured to come to our family and offer her condolences and even then in such a difficult time for our family, she gave us comfort.
Katie you are an amazing doctor, you show compassion, empathy and you were born to do this. You will go very far in the medical field.
I hope this message reaches her.
