I was not provided with information on a 'suspected molar pregnancy' after I presented to gynae on a 6 or 9 week scan. I was discharged after a d&c without being told this information or even what they suspected. There was no hcg follow up or information given and it was only after 4 weeks when I presented back to ward 43 in Altnagelvin (after a 5 hr wait) with a vaginal bleed passing a large blood clot was I then advised of previous suspected partial molar and was re scanned and referred to Charing Cross Hospital in London for treatment due to persistent molar.
Altnagelvin now administer chemo injections in ward 43 through the direction of Charing Cross, 4 times a week, every other week. I often have to wait up to an hour for the injection as only a doctor can administer. On a Sunday i often have to wait longer even though my forms states the injection should be administered at 12 noon.
I often feel quite anxious as most doctors in these wards have never had to carry this out and as the ward is so busy they are often stressed and flustered. The nurses on the ward try their best but I feel like this type of procedure should be dealt with on an oncology ward where it may be taken more serious.
"I often have to wait up to an hour for the injection"
