"A fantastic service through my pregnancy journey"

About: Borders General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I had to be closely monitored for the 2nd half of my 3rd pregnancy, but I knew I was in good hands as they took fantastic care of me when I had my 2 daughters in the same hospital.

For this pregnancy I was at the Borders General Hospital twice a week and the team were fantastic. From my consultant, Dr McKenzie, to the lovely ladies who did my scans - including Ailsa who we seen regularly - to the midwife’s in Ward 16.

There was so many that supported me but a huge thanks to Carly & Joan who I seen regularly for my weekly trace - or renamed Friday Night Raves as my little one never wanted to stay still!

And a huge thank you to Camae and student midwife Laura who delivered my tiny son, they were both attentive and supportive through my delivery. Then Anne who was supportive through my first 2 nights when he didn’t want to settle or just reassurance that he was fine.

Then finally Emma who looked after me through the day. I honestly received the best service from everybody from the fantastic team - I feel extremely lucky!
