"Help with pregnancy and becoming homeless"

About: First Steps Programme

(as a service user),

When I found out I was pregnant again my dad didn’t agree which caused a breakdown in relationship which then led to me becoming homeless with my 2-year-old son. I felt like I was stuck in a rut with no end to my situation. Everything was great, nothing was too too big an ask, I felt like I mattered.

Hi Gemma521

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the First Steps Programme.

I was sorry to read about the breakdown of your relationship with your dad in relation to your pregnancy along with the situation of being homeless with your 2 year old son. Both of these situations must have been very difficult for you.

I was glad to hear however that your First Steps Worker was able to provide you with the support and guidance which helped you feel better and the fact that your worker was able to make you feel like you mattered was so pleasing to hear.

Thank you again for your kind words and I will ensure my colleagues are made aware of your feedback on the First Steps Programme.

Best Wishes

Take care

Helen xx
