Since 2006 I had testicular cysts. I had been twice to see consultants, and had two scans done. For many years they were manageable. But in 2020 they reached a size that made them very uncomfortable. I was going to approach my GP but covid struck, and I put things on hold.
Just over three weeks ago I went to see my GP, he referred me as an urgent case, just two days later I went to see a consultant mr James at the new Stobhill hospital in Glasgow. In mid September mr James performed an operation removing the cysts. I am now recovering from my operation. Other than having slight problems urinating I am in no pain, just some discomfort in my groin area.
Everyone I have dealt with from my GP, Mr James, all of the nursing staff, clerical people, Mr James' secretary, the anestethist, just everyone have been kind considerate, and extremely professional. To have had my operation just three weeks after seeing my GP is outstanding.
I am so grateful to the nhs and all of the staff who I have dealt with. I know the nhs I struggling, and I hope it gets what it needs to survive,
"Everyone have been kind, considerate"
