"Wellbeing Service is a wonderful service"

About: Borders Community Services / Wellbeing Service

(as a service user),

Starting from a very dark place, suffering from anxiety and depression during a period of great stress and also mourning the loss of my last remaining parent, I was referred to the Wellbeing Service.  Unable to see a hopeful future at the time, and weighed down by event the simplest of tasks, I spoke regularly with a member of the team who listened and provided insights and suggestions on what to focus on each session.  Exercise played a part in helping me to recover and special mention must also be made of the wonderful weight management team working through Live Borders.

The wellbeing team provide a wonderful service, encouraging but gentle and supportive in imaginative ways they have helped get me back to where I needed to be - no longer weighed down by everyday life and able to look to a more positive future again.
