Apart from the fact that I have a nasty disease, I have found the whole experience to be wonderful, which is a strange thing to say considering..... Everyone has been lovely without exception, and you meet some wonderful people. It has been a really positive experience.
I was diagnosed 3 months ago following a biopsy and felt it was a long wait until I started my treatment - I had 2 CTs, 2 MRIs and a pet scan - a lot going on during that period. The waiting is the worst of it, particularly not knowing if it’s terminal or not.
One very minor issue I have come across is that in the ladies toilet, the big toilet roll holder is too close to the actual toilet and you hit your shoulder on it every time. In an ideal world the ladies loo could do with a bit of a refurb - it looks as though this has been started but never completed.
