"Old people's clinic"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Day Clinic (Older People’s Services) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Day Hospital ( Older People)

(as the patient),

I was referred to the old people's clinic after a fall. Initially, I was examined by a doctor. This examination was the most thorough I have ever had in my life. He suggested some physiotherapy. I attended physiotherapy for 4 or 5 weeks and the team were fantastic. They were patient and very attentive. They gave me exercises to carry out at home which were tailored for my needs. The physiotherapist suggested I attend the balance class for 10 weeks. I found this class to be excellent. The physiotherapists were extremely patient. The exercises I still do at home most days. I would have gone on attending the class with those therapists for the remainder of my life bur realise I've had my turn. The therapist gave me information on how to find a similar class nearby which I've still to do and I will as soon as I've recovered from covid.
