"Excellent care"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Minor injuries unit

(as the patient),

I got bitten by a dog. The bite was not bad but I have no lymph nodes in my arm on the side I was bitten (on my.hand) so I was very concerned about infection.

At Minor Injuries Victoria Glasgow the receptionist dealt with me quickly and efficiently and the waiting room was comfortable and peaceful.

A wonderful nurse (still at University) cleaned the bite, dressed it with antiseptic dressings, got me some antibiotics and gave me a tetanus injection.

Having this all done so kindly and efficiently in the same room was absolutely amazing; no need to go and queue a pharmacy, it was all just there.

Really impressed, thank you all so much.

Dear Katewithcake,

thank you so much for taking the time to submit a care opinion,

I hope you are now recovering well following your accident, that sounded quite painful and obviously a worry for you. I will pass on your lovely comments to all the team at the Minor Injury Unit at the new Victoria, they work extremely hard in often difficult circumstances and will be delighted you found them kind and efficient and you are grateful for the treatment you received. Thank you.

with kind regards

Karen
