"My mum hit a full MOT"

About: Lurgan Hospital / Rapid Access Clinic

(as a relative),

We were welcomed with a warm smile and told we were expecting my mum.

No time was wasted and she got her bloods done and she never felt a thing.

Then into another room where blood pressure was taken several times, an ECT done.

Some medical history was taken and a memory test taken. It was all done in a relaxing atmosphere, we even got a cup of tea and biscuits!

An occupational therapist assessed mum’s needs and was given some aids home and will get a house visit as well.

The doctor then came in and gave us her thoughts on all mum’s results. She took time and explained everything clearly. A very positive experience.

Hi blackbirdgf73,

Many thanks for taking the time to leave such positive feedback about our Lurgan Rapid Access Service. It is very reassuring to hear it was a positive experience for your mum.

Having all the team in the one facility at the same time for your mum certainly makes it a more seamless and timely process.

It is good to hear you thought the environment was relaxed and that your mum enjoyed her wee cup of tea.

I hope she remains well.

Yvonne
