About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Cancer Services (Medical Oncology)

(as a service user),

I have been attending the Anchor Unit in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for chemotherapy for the last 5 months. Can I say a massive thank you to every administrator, receptionist, HCSW, volunteer, Nurse and  ANP.  Each and every member of staff has made a difficult and emotional time easier to cope with. There have been lots of tears and many more laughs along the way. I have been treated with dignity, respect and professionalism by everyone. What an awesome team. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.

Dear Bluepoppy

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such lovely feedback for the Anchor Team, as you so aptly state the Anchor Team is made up of many, each having a valuable role trying to make sure the process for our patients and colleagues can be as smooth as possible. From your post I interpret you are facing your cancer with courage and determination, finding the laughter through some harder times. I am pleased to read you have finished your treatment with us and wish you a positive recovery and good health moving forward. Thank you again for such kind words, which I will also share with the teams.
