"Grateful for explanations from the technician"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I was to be fitted with a 24hr heart monitor recently at the Cardiology Department at the RAH. On arrival at the department I was taken on time which was good.

The technician fitting the monitor introduced himself as Thomas and he greeted me with a warm friendly smile. I was immediately put at ease. The procedure was explained even though I have had three monitors fitted in the past. Thomas chatted whilst he was sorting and fitting the monitor.

After fitting the monitor I was able to ask questions and they were answered. Thomas answered quite a few questions that had been bothering me as I did not know if they could be related to the possible heart issues or not.

I was grateful I was able to speak to him and he answered the questions in full and I had a better understanding of what I was experiencing.
