"Very caring admin staff, nurses and medics"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Son attended a&e with a head injury from rugby.

My son was anxious being in the waiting area as he was feeling sick and the reception staff were great. Allowed us to wait in the car and called when it was our turn. A great idea and helped ease both my sons and my son anxiety.

The staff were obviously busy but managed my son well and allowed time for a thorough assessment and rest then a subsequent check. On the whole I’m really happy with the care my son received and we didn’t have to wait too long.

Very caring admin staff, nurses and medics encountered tonight. Thank you

Dear coincm59

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave feedback on this Care Opinion platform. I am sorry to read that your son required to use the services of the Emergency Department here at University Hospital Wishaw. I was delighted to read your positive feedback around how the staff treated your son at such an anxious time for you both and I am glad that the option of waiting in your car was of benefit to you both.

I will be delighted to provide this feedback to the Emergency team who are such a committed and devoted group of staff who strive to deliver exceptional person centred care every day for our patients.

I indeed hope your son has no further injuries from his rugby playing

Best wishes

Faith
