"6 week postpartum check "

About: Adderley Green Surgery

I went for my check and was discussing my health concerns. I mentioned I’m having much pain when going to the toilet and bleeding however, the female doctor told me my time is nearly up and to book another appointment. I mentioned I have a little baby so it’s difficult to book but if there’s anything I can take for pain or go to a pharmacy for which I was advised that due to breastfeeding it’s only advisable that I be seen to determine if I have piles and to then once confirmed treat it. I understand it needs to be checked.

I had to wait more than half an hour to be seen when I arrived which I understand that appointments can be late however, if a health concern needs to be checked then there should be sufficient time given to do so in appointments especially ones after giving birth as they’re extremely important.

I’m now having to wait for my next one whilst going through this pain.
